Ep. 19 Fleetwood Mac

 
 

Fleetwood Mac started their career in London, England (1967) and went on to be one of the great European rock bands out of the '70s. A man named Peter Green left a music gig to make his own band, adding Mick Fleetwood, Jeremy Spencer, Bob Brunning, and eventually John McVie. THey create the first few albums that defined a role for the band in the industry. Even though their career is filled will ups and downs, the musical style and popularity continued to grow.  Artists come and artists go in the Fleetwood world, and the band eventually hired Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks. They go on to create one of the their most popular albums, Rumors, creating hits like "Go Your Own Way" "The Chain" and "Dreams". It took a certified diamond status, selling over 40 million copies worldwide. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, nominated for 6 Grammys and won 2 of them,  and considered to be one of top selling artists of all time.
