Ep. 14 U2

Bono- Lead Vocals

The Edge – Guitar/Backing Vocals

Adam Clayton – Bass

Larry Mullen, Jr. – Drums

It all started with a note posted to the message board of Mount Temple Comprehensive School in 1976. The rock band based out of Dublin, Ireland has since posted an impressive resume. Over 4 decades, U2 has won 22 Grammy Awards (most of any band and 8th most ever), 170 million records (17th on that list), own the highest grossing tour of all time (U2 360), and are the only musicians to ever win Record of the Year in consecutive years. Often remembered however for their off-stage antics, U2 is a band some fans love to hate. Say what you will about their deal with Apple, or philanthropic endeavors, U2’s music itself is timeless. The industry changing hits - “One”, “Sunday Bloody Sunday”, “With or Without You”, and “Beautiful Day” cannot be over looked as anything but iconic tracks. Album after album, U2 continues to add to their legacy and continue to produce great music. Give this week’s episode a listen to see U2’s journey from just a few teenagers to musical greatness.
