Catfish & The Bottlemen
The indie rock group Catfish & The Bottlemen formed in Llandudno, Wales. The quartet includes lead singer Van McCann, guitarist Johnny Bond, bassist Benji Blakeway, and drummer Bob Hall. Catfish hit the ground swimming in 2014, releasing their first hit single ‘Kathleen’ as well as the debut LP The Balcony. 2014 proved to be a good year for the group as BBC also presented them with the Best Newcomer Award. Since the release of the new single ‘Soundcheck’ this last February, the world will remain in flux until May. Check out their sophomore album The Ride, set for a release date of May 27th.
Caravan Palace makes The Auideo Spotlight Top 4 this week! The electo-swing group from France is one of the more intriguing groups we’ve come across recently. The sextet includes members: Zoe Colotis (vocals), Arnaud Vial (guitar), Hugues Payen (violin), Camille Chapeliere (clarinet), Charles Delaporte (double bass), Antoine Toustou (electronics/trombone), and Paul-Marie Barbier (percussion/vibraphone). Caravan Palace first got their start producing music for low budget silent pornography. They then added Zoe Colotis and fused together the likes of big-band, swing, jazz, and funky electronic beats. Their most recent album <|o_o|> includes some of our favorite tracks ‘Midnight’ and ‘Lone Digger’. Make sure to also check out ‘Clash’ from their debut album and ‘Jolie Coquine’ from their sophomore record Pani
The New York born, Los Angeles raised musician Bryce Vine fell in love with music at a young age and it definitely shows. As a teenager he was awarded a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Bryce went on to release his first EP Lazy Fair in April of 2014, receiving positive reviews by many fans. How could it not with hits like ‘Sour Patch Kids’, ‘Where The Wild Things Are’, and ‘Take Me Home.’ Bryce came back stronger than ever with his sophomore follow up EP Night Circus. Night Circus consists of a classic Bryce Vine feel with unrivaled lyrics. The soon to be hits ‘Los Angeles’, ‘Glamorama’, and ‘Bang Bang’ are a few of The Auideo Show favorites. It seems clear to us that after only 2 EPs, Bryce Vine is on his way to becoming a household name.
